Dillon Thomas, LCSWA
Dillon Thomas is a Licensed Clinical Social Worker Associate who works with children, adolescents, teens, and adults. He is passionate about supporting individuals through life’s challenges and helping them build meaningful, fulfilling lives. Dillon earned both his undergraduate and graduate degrees in Social Work from Appalachian State University.
Dillon has extensive experience working with children and adolescents, as well as individuals navigating substance use challenges, community reentry following incarceration, and major life transitions. He is particularly committed to serving those who may feel overlooked, misunderstood, or defined by past mistakes. His approach is rooted in the belief that people are more than their circumstances and that growth, healing, and change are always possible.
Dillon takes a person-centered, strengths-based approach to therapy, guided by the philosophy of meeting people where they are. He strives to create a supportive, nonjudgmental environment where clients feel heard, respected, and empowered to pursue their goals.
His areas of focus include:
Depression and mood-related concerns
Anxiety and stress management
Goal setting, motivation, and personal growth
Men’s mental health
Substance use and recovery support
Reentry and adjustment following incarceration
Behavioral and emotional challenges in children and adolescents
Self-esteem and identity development
Life transitions and relationship concerns
Recognizing the unique mental health challenges many men face, Dillon offers a safe space to explore emotions, vulnerabilities, and personal struggles without judgment. He understands that societal expectations surrounding masculinity can often make it difficult to seek support and believes that meaningful healing begins when individuals are given permission to be authentic and understood.
Dillon works collaboratively with clients to identify strengths, develop practical coping skills, and create achievable goals that align with their values and aspirations. His focus is on helping individuals build resilience, overcome obstacles, and move forward with confidence.
Outside of the office, Dillon enjoys spending time outdoors, exploring nature, traveling, sharing good food with family and friends, and making meaningful memories with loved ones.
