Dr. Wendie Lubinsky, MS, LCMHC

I am Dr. Wendie Lubinsky, the Owner and CEO of WML Wellness LLC and Wendie Lubinsky Counseling PLLC in Holly Springs, NC, a Whole Health Wellness Company. I look forward to working with you as your counselor. I’m licensed as a Clinical Mental Health Counselor (Lic # 17240) under the NCBLCMHC and governed by the National Board of Clinical Counselors NBCC. I have a PhD in counselor education and supervision from Capella University (2024), an MS in Clinical Mental Health Counseling from Capella University (2021), and a Bachelor’s degree in English from the University of California, Irvine (2003), I am an adjunct instructor at Southern New Hampshire University, teaching Master’s Psychology.

My related professional experience began with personal training and nutritional coaching from NASM in 2001; however, I am no longer actively working in this capacity. I helped clients achieve their goals through motivational, goal-oriented programs while assisting them in overcoming personal obstacles. While working as a personal trainer and group fitness instructor, I incorporated life coaching and focused on clients with eating disorders. My research and experience with eating disorders have led to the whole health coaching perspective and approach to a holistic view of healthcare and wellness, which I achieve through interdisciplinary collaboration. In practicum and internship during my masters, I worked at both a neurocounseling and biofeedback office and in a private practice setting, providing therapeutic services to individuals, groups, couples, and families, including adolescents and adults.

Dr. Wendie Lubinsky
(Owner)

I specialize in Sex therapy, couples therapy, infertility, equine therapy, career counseling/life transitions, and trauma from being in a narcissistic relationship. I work with couples, families and individuals. I use an eclectic theoretical orientation to help clients identify meaning in their lives and create goals to move toward wellness. I enjoy working with couples to help them reconnect spiritually, emotionally, and physically and utilize sex/intimacy therapy as part of the integrated process of bringing a couple back together. Areas of treatment also include behavioral difficulties, depression, anxiety, panic disorders, obsessive/compulsiveness, trauma, relationships, parenting, family difficulties, and change of life crises.

People seek counseling for many reasons, and I believe that awareness and acceptance are key to understanding how our personal histories influence how we view ourselves, others, and our surroundings. Therapy offers a valuable chance for growth, self-discovery, and insight in a supportive environment. Because each client has unique strengths and challenges, I tailor my therapeutic approach to support a successful experience. By using an eclectic theoretical orientation, I help clients find meaning in their lives and set goals that align with their unique journeys.
My specialties include: Sex therapy, couples therapy, infertility, equine therapy, career counseling/life transitions, and trauma from narcissistic relationships. I work with couples, families, and individuals to help couples reconnect spiritually, emotionally, and physically. I also do equine therapy.

I take a holistic approach to treatment, which may include collaborating with your medical provider to ensure our goals align. If you would like a different experience, we can also visit the barn for equine-assisted psychotherapy with Taz (my horse). We will customize treatment to suit your personal preferences.
Before moving to NC in July 2019 to begin my career in the Mental Health field, I lived in NY from 2003 to 2019, where I owned and operated WML Aquatics LLC, My aquatics business employed 52 staff members and managed 16 locations, staffing lifeguards, swim instructors, and management teams. The business also focused on training lifeguards, swim instructors, and first aid responders. I sold the company in 2019 when I moved to NC.
